Macy*s staff received a helping hand from more than 300 volunteers during the eighth annual Wrapping for Habitat, Housatonic Habitat for Humanity’s holiday fundraising program at Macy’s in the Danbury Fair Mall.
Erin Tito, Macy*s general manager, noted that the annual event put some of the “magic” back into the holiday season. “Many of our shoppers slow down to have their gifts wrapped and others from throughout the mall take a time out to participate in this great event.” Macy*s sales associate, Priscilla Williams, also offered gift wrapping classes. Every year, wrapping for Habitat takes place in front of Macy’s in the Danbury Fair Mall from December 1 to Christmas Eve Day. Volunteers wrap items purchased throughout the Danbury Fair Mall for a donation. Proceeds support Housatonic Habitat for Humanity’s affordable housing mission.
