ReStore - Items Not Accepted

We appreciate when individuals want to donate items to our ReStore. However, due to sanitary concerns and the condition of certain items, we can not always accept them.

Here is a list of items that we currently do not accept:

  • Air conditioning units (unless new in box)
  • Appliances (colors other than white or stainless)
  • Appliances older than 7 years (gas or electric)
  • Bath tubs (unless new and delivered to ReStore)
  • Bathroom sinks (out of style colors)
  • Books
  • Glass or frameless mirrors
  • Carpet, area rugs or padding (unless new)
  • Ceiling Fans (unless new in the box)
  • Children’s car seats, cribs
  • Clothing
  • Computers or computer parts
  • Dishwashers
  • Entertainment Centers
  • Exercise equipment
  • Faucets that are used or manufactured prior to 2012
  • Fluorescent bulbs or fluorescent light fixtures (unless new in box)
  • Flooring less than 100 sqft
  • Furniture with cloth upholstery (vinyl/leather OK)
  • Hazardous Chemicals (including pesticides and paint thinner)
  • Ikea Furniture (only new in box, unless on the recall list)
  • Insulation (opened or used)
  • Used lightbulbs
  • Lumber, wood scraps, painted wood or any wood with nails
  • Mattresses and/or Boxsprings
  • Nails, screws, miscellaneous nuts and bolts (loose or not in an unopened box)
  • Oil & Gas Containers
  • Paint (opened cans)
  • Rusty metal items
  • Shower doors (used)
  • Pedestal sinks without the pedestal
  • Single pane windows
  • Screens
  • Storm windows
  • Televisions or Electronics
  • Tile that is less than 50 sqft
  • Toilets other than white or which are not complete (no tanks)
  • Toys or games
  • Water heaters
  • Window treatments, drapes, blinds/min-blinds and shades
  • Wooden Ladders
  • Garage doors or openers
