John Gonski – Board President

John joined the Housatonic Habitat Board in 2016 and served as its treasurer for the past 3 years. He lives locally in Sandy Hook. John has more than 19 years’ experience in banking leadership with recognized strengths in sales staff support and customer relations. His favorite hobby is running.

John believes that local affordable housing is not a political, gender, race or orientation issue. It’s a human issue and believes that Habitat for Humanity continually helps to move the needle in the right direction. John served on many other non-profit Boards in the past, but was driven to Housatonic Habitat because he wanted to find an organization that not only aligned with his own passions, but also helped to reach a wider audience. John is proud of Housatonic Habitat’s impact to the Western CT community!
