Kent held management and executive roles in IBM. After retiring from IBM, Kent joined Housatonic Habitat in 2013 in its construction operations and on the finance committee. He was the Habitat Board President from July 2018 to June 2021, before returning to back to the role of Construction Leader. Kent lives in Ridgefield and is a member of St. Mary’s Parish. He is active on the Board of Ridgefield’s Founders’ Hall and is a coordinator with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, run by the Community Action Agency of Western CT. He is also active in the Danbury Elks organization.
