Volunteering is to live the mission

Building on our strengths, Housatonic Habitat has entered a new chapter in its proud 25-year history. Since 2013, we’ve put people, processes, and procedures in place that have formed a solid foundation for our work ahead, and our future is certain. Our core team enables us to open doors for a bright future. Today’s Board of Directors, our Advisory Leadership Council of community experts, and our grass-roots committee structure which is composed of dedicated volunteers, allow us to move ahead … to grow and prosper. Above all, we are grateful for our committed volunteers who are our mainstay. They live the mission. They hang drywall in the middle of summer. They drive a truck in all types of weather to pick up ReStore donations. They move tables and chairs from here to there. Bake. Do crafts. They give their resources, time, and talents. They work on their day off, and in retirement. They are our life blood. And, our stewardship of that time and of their resources is on our minds as we strengthen the way we do business. Each gift is unique. Combined, our vision creates sustainable changes.

Housatonic Habitat for Humanity welcomes individuals and volunteer groups to our community of builders. Regardless of prior experience and skill level, there are always ways to contribute on the work site. Email info@housatonichabitat.org to get started.

ReStore is always looking for volunteers. Individuals and volunteer groups are needed to organize and price donated items, provide assistance to ReStore customers, and assist in keeping the store clean and tidy. Email restore@housatonichabitat.org to get started.

Prefer an office environment to the construction site? Join us behind-the-scenes by assisting with front-desk hospitality, data entry, mailings, fundraising and development campaigns, technical efficiencies, and special events. Email info@housatonichabitat.org to get started.
