Team Build Days
We believe in the power of teamwork and community engagement. Our team build days, which are included in our sponsorship packages, offer companies the opportunity to rally their employees for a meaningful cause while fostering team spirit and making a tangible difference in the lives of others.
What to Expect:
- Welcome & Motivational Greeting From Leadership: Each team build day kicks off with a warm welcome and motivational words from our leadership team. We’ll set the stage for a fulfilling day of giving back and working together towards a common goal.
- Lunch, Snacks & Drinks Provided: We understand that volunteering can work up an appetite, so we ensure that all volunteers are well-fed and hydrated throughout the day. Lunch, snacks, and drinks are provided to keep energy levels up and spirits high.
- Marketing Support: Our marketing team will stop by to capture memorable moments and create awareness of your selfless support. Photos taken during the day may be featured on our website, social media channels, and promotional materials to showcase your company’s commitment to community service.
- Team Apparel: We encourage companies to wear their own branded shirts to foster a sense of unity and pride among team members. However, if preferred, Housatonic Habitat for Humanity shirts can be provided for volunteers to wear during the build day.
- Duration: A typical team build day lasts for 5-6 hours, providing ample time for volunteers to make a significant impact on our ongoing projects and allotting time for travel.
Volunteers will engage in a variety of tasks aimed at supporting our mission of building safe, affordable housing for those in need. Typical activities may include:
– Painting walls, doors, and trim
– Filling nail holes in trim
– Cleaning windows
– Scraping off stickers or residue
– Raking and seeding
