Aging in Place

Home repairs and ADA assistance for Seniors and Veterans on a fixed income.

Aging in Place supports seniors and veterans by allowing them to continue to live with dignity and independence in their own home. This program is a volunteer based service that offers a free home safety assessment and no cost ADA safety modifications. For the complete list of the modifications we do refer to the column on the right.

Eligibility Requirements for Applicants:

  • Must be 60 Years or older.
  • Must be the homeowner. Renters are not eligible to participate in this program.
  • Must provide proof of total household income in the form of latest tax return.
  • Excluding home equity, total household income or asset level cannot exceed $6,000/month
  • Must provide copy of current homeowner’s insurance declaration pages
  • Home must be located in one of the following CT towns:  Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, New Canaan, New Fairfield, New Milford, Redding, Ridgefield, Roxbury, Sherman, Washington, Wilton and Weston.
