Programs
Aging In Place
Offering free safety home repairs to low-income seniors and veterans, enabling them to age safely in the comfort of their own homes.
This Program:
- Helps underserved homeowners struggling to maintain their homes
- Allows them to reclaim their homes with pride, dignity, and improved mental wellbeing
- Through our AIP program, we significantly expand our impact in the local community, assisting over 100 additional homeowners each year and providing more volunteer opportunities
Research conducted by Habitat for Humanity International and John Hopkins University demonstrates that our program leads to fewer emergency room visits and enhances both physical and mental health. By implementing home modifications, we not only help clients save on healthcare costs but also alleviate the strain on emergency health systems and social services. Subsequent follow-ups 24 months later revealed an average savings of $22,120 for Aging in Place participants.
